#2 Discombobugated

At the gate on the left post is a small concrete angel....about 15 years old, one wing missing and very grainy, getting worn away by the weather.

Also, the third picket in from the post on the left has a small knothole missing. Sometimes I look through that knothole to check things out from that tiny 1/4" vantage point. It's like a little mini-environment.....amazing how much you can actually see through there.

This is it...starting.....starting.....now! #1

I'm choosing "gates" as my source of inspiration because I love the idea, both literally and metaphorically.

While I'm not any too certain I can keep this up for 365 days, I'm pretty sure 31 days will be enough to cover the subject in all sorts of ways.

It was also here, at this gate, several years ago, that I realized that I could get in touch with the day....meditate if you will....in the few minutes it takes to bring my sweet dog out in the morning. I love this gate for that reason. A little piece on my observations here in the early morning:
